This past year, my good friend and frequent collaborator Andy Akiho has been in residence at the American Academy in Rome. To celebrate his achievements, the AAR will present of a program of music written by him and his co-fellow, Paula Matthusen. The evening includes his incredible LIgNEouS 1 for marimba and string quartet, which I will perform with Brooklyn Rider.
